By J.J. Smith. The Rockwall Yellowjackets had only five hits and committed two errors last night and lost to Carrollton Newman-Smith in Rockwall, 5-4. Rockwall’s season record is now 14-6 and 3-2 in District 10-4A. Newman-Smith is 9-7 and also 3-2 in the hunt for the playoffs.

Rockwall-Heath’s hard-hitting Connor Lewis was named to the Dallas Morning News All-Area baseball team, it was announced last week. Rockwall’s ace pitcher Travis Ballew was named to the second team.
