For the fourth consecutive year, the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club will be awarding community grants of up to $1,000 to non-profit organizations which have received a tax-deductible, 501(c) 3 status from the IRS.

More than $16,000 in grants has been awarded to Rockwall area non-profits over the past three years to such organizations as Rockwall Boys and Girls Club, CASA   

Each grant is intended to help subsidize humanitarian non-administrative service or projects within the bounds of the city of Rockwall, according to Rotary spokesman George Russell. 

Applications for grant consideration can be obtained from the Rotary Breakfast Club and must be submitted with a post mark no late than June 6th, 2009. Winners will be announced during Dallas Race Week 2009 in late June. 

The Rockwall Breakfast Club meets every Tuesday from 7-8 am in the Rotary building located just north of Rockwall Baptist Church.
