By J.J. Smith. Two Rockwall chiropractors who co-own Rockwall’s Pro-Health Chiropractic clinic have decided to do something creative to help feed the hungry and fill Helping Hands food pantry’s almost-empty shelves in time for Thanksgiving.

If you make an appointment between Nov. 2 and 21, Dr. Keeston Waters and Dr. Dave Engleken are offering free exams, free digital x-rays and free consultations for new patients, plus free adjustments for existing patients, in exchange for one full bag of food items at the clinic, located at 919 E. I-30, Suite 125, in Rockwall – in front of the old Circuit City store.

A dozen patients have already taken advantage of the offer, they said, and they hope many more Rockwall area citizens will.

According to Dr. Waters, after they opened their clinic earlier this year, they decided they wanted to give back to the community on a regular basis so they looked for charities with which they could partner. They chose Helping Hands because it helps so many Rockwall County citizens.

“Helping Hands is a great organization,” said Dr. Waters. “We thought this would be a great way to show our gratitude to Rockwall during this Thanksgiving time of the year.”

“Just fill up a grocery bag, bring it in and we’ll provide the free treatments.”

Food items sought by Helping Hands and the chiropractic clinic are such popular foods as peanut butter and jelly, macaroni & cheese, cereal, coffee, hamburger/tuna helper, plus canned vegetables and fruits.

The food panty also needs Thanksgiving foods such as instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, canned pumpkin, pie crusts, cakes mixes and frosting, flour, sugar, dry and evaporated milk, corn bread mix and canned soups.Â

Hygiene products are also needed, including shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, feminine hygiene items, toilet tissue and laundry detergent.Â

To arrange an appointment or obtain more information, call Pro-Health Chiropractic at 972-771-7200.
