Dallas man arrested after burglarizing Visionworks store near Office Max

ROCKWALL – Rockwall Police officers arrested a 19-year-old Dallas man around 10 pm Thursday after witnesses said he broke the glass of the Visionworks store in the Rockwall Market Center Shopping Center near Office Max and stole the flat screen TV.

Gabriel Jardon was apprehended shortly after while traveling eastbound in a Honda on I-30 near Fate because witnesses provided his license plate number and car description to police.

Because there were two young children and a woman in his car sleeping while he allegedly committed the burglary, RPD Sgt. Jeff Welch said the suspect was arrested for Burglary of a Building, plus two counts of Child Endangerment, and transported to the Rockwall County Jail. All three counts are felonies. The woman was not charged. She and the children were released.

Sgt. Welch explained that Officers Tillery and Arrowood were in the area when the call came in and just happened to see the suspect’s vehicle. After apprehending the suspect, they noticed the two small children and woman inside of the vehicle. After Jardon’s arrest, they removed the children and woman out of harm’s way and recovered the stolen property.

Sgt. Villarreal and Officer White responded to the initial offense location and were able to determine a burglary had occurred.
