Rep. Ralph Hall re-elected to 89th term in House of Representatives
ROCKWALL – U.S. Rep. Ralph Hall was re-elected to his 89th term in office last night.
Oh wait. That’s his age. Whatever. He apparently could win 89 terms in office if he wanted to. His constituents love him and he’s apparently unbeatable.
Last night he won his 17th term in the U.S. House of Representatives, receiving 73 percent, or 182,416, of the total 249,979 votes cast. He whipped Democrat Valinda Hathcox (60,124), Libertarian Thomas Griffing (7,246) and Independent Fred Rostek (193).
This month, according to Rep. Hall, he will become the oldest person to ever speak from the podium in the House.
On May 3, 2013, Rep. Hall will turn 90 years old. He told the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram recently that he intends to continue serving in the House into his 90s.
Anybody else want to run against him and lose… in 2014?
