(WacoTrib.com) – Rockwall-Heath linebacker Raaquan Davis loves being in the middle of the action. After playing outside linebacker for two seasons, Davis moved inside as a senior where he has tracked down ballcarriers from sideline to sideline.
Rockwall-Heath coach Mickey Moss likes seeing one of his best athletes in a place where he can do the most damage.
“He can run and hit, and he’s smart and instinctive,” Moss said. “He’s big enough to play inside and runs well enough to play outside. He’s got every quality you like in a kid as a football player, and he’s an outstanding young man.”
The Baylor verbal commitment’s latest knockout performance came in the Hawks’ 45-12 win over rival Rockwall last weekend as he collected 10 solo tackles and four assists. For the season, Davis has piled up 43 solo tackles, six assists, two pass breakups and a sack to lead the Hawks to a 4-1 record.
