Both Rockwall football teams win, Royse City loses

ROCKWALL – Sophomore Rockwall tailback Chris Warren scored six touchdowns and rushed for 246 yards on 27 carries to lead the Yellowjackets to a thrilling 41-37 come-from-behind victory over Rowlett Friday night at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium.

Warren had started the season at defensive end.

The Jackets, who improved to 1-1, will host Coppell Friday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 pm.

Rockwall-Heath won it’s second consecutive game Friday night with a 34-21 victory over South Garland at Homer B. Johnson Stadium.

Quarterback Chase Schultz threw for four touchdowns, three to Shyon Motlagh, to lead the Hawks to victory.

The Hawks will travel to Birdville Friday night to play Richland at 7:30 pm.

Royse City lost its second consecutive game, 34-3, to visiting North Forney. The Bulldogs travel to Prestonwood Christian in West Plano to play this Friday night at 7:30 pm.
