Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitive captured in Rockwall May 30
ROCKWALL – One of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives was arrested without incident May 30 in Rockwall after U.S. Marshals, State Troopers and officers from several North Texas police agencies surrounded the pickup he was riding in as it arrived at a house he had been staying in.
Andrew Michael McArter, 29, a confirmed gang member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, has a long criminal history, including Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Unlawful Possession Of A Firearm By A Felon and was linked to 17 burglaries.
He was wanted for Parole Violation and Larceny and now faces an additional drug charge since, after a search of his home, police said McArter was “in possession of methamphetamine in his bedroom.” Rockwall police are planning to file an additional drug charge against him for that violation.
He was arrested after authorities received a tip from someone less than 24 hours after he was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive List.
McArter remains in the Rockwall County Jail.
The driver of the pickup was not arrested.
DPS and other agencies have arrested 13 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders so far this year.
