Five Rockwall County girls, coach named to 10-4A All-District Team
ROCKWALL – Five Rockwall County girls and one coach have been named to the Dallas Morning News All-District 10-4A Basketball Team.
Senior Rice University signee Alyssa Lang was named Most Valuable Player, after leading the Lady Yellowjackets (34-8) the State 4A Championship Game, which they lost 45-42 to Mansfield Summit.
Senior Kayla Smith and junior Morghen Day of Rockwall, plus junior Jordan Mitchell of Rockwall-Heath were named to the team.
Rockwall freshman Sara Williamson was selected as Newcomer of the Year.
Rockwall Coach Jill McDill was named Co-Coach of the Year, with Highland Park’s Amy Matlock.
