County offices now moving into new Courthouse before dedication, opening Nov. 11

ROCKWALL – Several Rockwall County offices have begun moving into the new County Courthouse at 1111Yellow Jacket Ln. as preparations for the Nov. 11 dedication and opening now are in full swing.

The 382nd and 439th District Courts plus District Clerk’s Offices moved from the current government offices building on Ridge Rd. Oct. 20-24.

The District Attorney’s Office completed moving Oct. 31.

Between Nov. 3 and 7, the County Clerk’s and County Court-At-Law’s Offices will move in.

Between Nov. 8 and 10, the final move will be made by the office of the Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 & 2.

The dedication and opening ceremony for the new Courthouse is scheduled on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, at 5 pm, preceeded by the Veteran’s Memorial dedication from 4-5 pm.
