Funeral services set Monday for RCHS student Anthony Sanders

ROYSE CITY – Funeral services have been set for 16-year-old Royse City High School/Browning Academy student Anthony Robert Sanders, who was killed in a one vehicle accident Wednesday night.

According to his Rest Haven Funeral Home obituary, his funeral will be this Monday, at 11 am, at First Baptist Church of Royse City, located at 900 Pullen.

A visitation will be held this Sunday, 4-6 pm, at the Rest Haven Funeral Home – Royse City chapel, 141 W. Main St.

Anthony is survived by his mother and step-father, Judy & Terry Eckbreth, of Royse City;  and sisters:  Beth Sanders and Shea Goodson of Royse City; Betty Smith of Waxahachie; Cathy Patterson & husband Randy of Crosset, AR;  and Monica Litchfield of Petty, TX.

Royse City High School has brought in counselors to help students to deal with his death.

A bank account has been established in his name to help his family pay for funeral expenses of about $7,500.

The accident is still under investigation by Royce City Police and is expected to be completed by Wednesday. Chief Carl Alsabrook said yesterday that all three boys riding in the truck did appear to be wearing seat belts. One of the boys had minor injuries and the other boy had none.
