Royse City man arrested for intoxication manslaughter after vehicle kills elderly man
ROCKWALL – A Royse City man was arrested early Saturday morning by Rockwall police on an intoxication manslaughter (medication) charge after the sport utility vehicle that he was allegedly driving struck and killed 77-year-old Radoslav Ciric of Rockwall.
According to RPD Sgt. Jeff Welch, Cary Gene Tyson was booked into the Rockwall County Jail after demonstrating signs of impairment at the scene, suspected to be caused by medication.
He was released from jail Sunday after posting $100,000 bond.
The accident occurred about 8 am as Ciric was walking on the shoulder of the southbound lane of N. Goliad at Lakeshore.
Ciric was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Rockwall Police Department Traffic Division.
