Sen. Bob Deuell recognized for 99% voting, attendance records in TX Senate

AUSTIN – State Senator Bob Deuell (R – Greenville), who represents Rockwall County in the Texas Senate, was recognized last week for achieving a 99.9 percent voting record during Texas’ 82nd Legislative Session, which began in January and ended with a special session in May.

“Your attendance and voting record demonstrate your dedication and remarkable commitment to your duties as a state senator and the people of Senatorial District 2,” wrote Secretary of the Senate Patsy Spaw, in a letter to Sen. Deuell.

The Greenville family physician missed only five of 4,048 record votes and was present for 99 percent of the roll calls taken for attendance.

He has maintained a 99 or 100 percent voting record in every regular session of the Texas Legislature since being elected to the Senate in 2002.
