Rockwall opens baseball season blasting two opponents, 24-0

In their two 2011 season-opening baseball games yesterday, the Rockwall Yellowjackets blasted 24 runs on 28 hits in two shut-out victories against Red Oak and Arlington Bowie in the Waco ISD Invitational Tournament.

In the first game, a 10-0 victory over Red Oak, Rockwall’s Thomas Anderson threw a no-hitter. The Yellowjackets had 11 hits, including 5 doubles. Red Oak had four errors.

In the second game, Rockwall’s Chris Colacecchi threw a three-hitter as the Yellowjackets overwhelmed Arlington Bowie 14-0 on 17 hits.  Bowie had seven errors.

Today Rockwall will play two more games, at 6 pm vs Del Valle and at 8:15 pm vs. Ennis.
