Young Royse City woman dies in Plano parking lot crash
A young Royse City woman died in a Plano parking lot crash Dec. 29.
According to Plano police, dental assistant student Roxann “Roxy-Poxy” Zarrin Ghassemi, 25, was killed when her vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed struck a light pole in the 3100 block of Custer Rd. at about 9:15 pm.
Plano police said she was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead at 6 am, Dec. 30.
She is survived by her mother, Syble Gardner of Royse City, and her father Dr. Farhad Ghassemi of Houston, two brothers and a large extending family, according to her Rest Haven Funeral Home obituary.
Funeral services were held Dec. 31, with burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
