Girls b-ball teams continue district action this week

Local girls high school basketball teams opened up district play the weekend before Christmas but take a portion of this week off for tournament play before resuming district play this weekend.

In District 10-4A, Rockwall (14-4 season) is currently in third place with a 2-1 record, just behind McKinney(10-6) and McKinney North (10-6) with 3-0 records.

Rockwall-Heath (6-11) is currently tied with fourth place with three other teams with 1-2 records.

In District 13-4A, Royse City (9-7) sits on top with a 2-0 record.

In District 10-5A, Garland LakeviewCentennial (6-10) leads the way at 2-0, with Rowlett (10-8) tied for third with a 1-1 record.

Games this week:

Rockwall, 14-4, plays Euless Trinity Tuesday at Noon in tournament action at Duncanville and Wednesday TBD. They resume district play Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Rockwall-Heath at 7:30 pm.

Rockwall-Heath, 6-11, played today at 10:30 am at home vs.Lincoln and Wed. at home TBD in the Dallas Coca-Cola tourney. They resume district play Jan. 4 vs. Rockwall.

Royse City, 9-7, plays Tuesday at 2:30 pm at home vs. Forney and Wednesday in tournament action TBD. They open district play Jan. 4 at Prosper at 7:30 pm.

Rowlett, 10-8, is off until they play Garland Naaman Forest Jan. 1 @ 3:30 pm.

Garland Lakeview Centennial, 6-10, resumes District play Dec. 31 at McKinney Boyd at 10 am.
