100-year-old Nevada man passes away

By J.J. Smith. A 100-year-old Nevada man who was a member of Rockwall’s First Baptist Church passed away Sept. 3.

A.P. “John” Yeager was born Nov. 8, 1909, and grew up with his five brothers on the family farm in Nevada. He owned and operated a grocery store in Nevada and a locker plant in Wylie for many years.

According to his Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall obituary, he is survived by his sons: John Yeager and wife, Patty, of Wylie; and Robert Yeager and wife, Becky, of Nevada; plus many more relatives. He was twice married, for 32 and 27 years, respectively.

Funeral services were held yesterday at Rest Haven.
