Warrant issued for SH 276 hit-and-run suspect

By J.J. Smith. A warrant has been issued for a man suspected of driving a pickup truck which left the scene of a three-vehicle fatal accident in Rockwall County May 5, killing Kenton William Klutts (pictured above).

Lt. David Davis of the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office said the warrant has been issued for hit-and-run suspect Fernando Vasquez Munos, 37, of Grand Prairie.

Four others were also injured in the accident, which occurred at the intersection of State Highway 276 and Sunny Circle, just west of Southern Junction night club.

According to Lt. Davis, the deceased man was trying to turn off of 276 on to Sunny Circle when the pickup truck belonging to Munos slammed Mr. Klutts’ car from behind into oncoming traffic.

Anyone with information about Munos is asked to call the Rockwall Co. Sheriff’s Department at 972-204-7001.
