Rockwall takes rubber game from McKinney, 3-1

The Dallas Morning News. Left-hander Chris Colacecchi scattered six hits and contributed two of his own – the second helping set up a two-run, fourth-inning rally – as Rockwall beat McKinney, 3-1, in Game 3 of a best-of-3 Class 4A first-round playoff series Saturday.

McKinney, the state’s eighth-ranked 4A team, had at least one hit and one runner in scoring position in five of the seven innings. That included the fifth, when Stefan Castro and Brent Tolbert reached on consecutive errors to give McKinney a two-on, no-out threat. But Colacecchi closed the door, getting the next batter on a fly to center and inducing a ground ball for a double play.
