Rockwall doctor loses medical license after sexual assault conviction

By J.J. Smith. The medical practice license of an 81-year-old Rockwall physician was suspended indefinitely by the Texas Medical Board April 9 after he was convicted by a Dallas County jury of the second-degree felony of sexual assault of a 36-year-old woman last January.

Mallou was sentenced to ten years probation after a jury trial, according to documents from the 204th District Court in Dallas County.

According to court records, Mallou — 79 years old at the time — sexually assaulted the woman who managed the Dallas chiropractor’s office where he worked as a contract pain management physician.

Mallou was registered on the sex offender registries of the Texas Department of Public Safety and Rockwall Police Department Jan. 22, 2009, eight days after his conviction.
