Rockwall-Heath now 31-0, demolishes Turner, 16-1

By J.J. Smith. Rockwall-Heath’s top-ranked Class 4A baseball team improved it’s record to 31-0 last night with 20 hits in demolishing R.L. Turner at Carrollton, 16-1.

Their hitting attack was led by Bret Boswell, with a home run; triples by Nick Petersen and Noah Adams; and doubles by Austin Aulds, Patrick Gonzalez, Reid Lamberth, Tyler Harding and Parker Hale.

Jovan Hernandez was the winning pitcher, scattering just two hits.

The last two games of the season for Heath (31-0, 13-0) will be today at 12:30 pm at District 9-5A  leader Richardson (19-8-1), and Friday at 7:30 pm at home against Highland Park (24-7-1, 12-1)), which beat Rockwall (17-12-1, 6-7) last night, 7-5.

The winner of the Heath-Highland Park game will win the District 10-4A championship. The Hawks beat the Scots earlier this season.

In other District 10-4A games, Carrollton Newman Smith beat Royse City (5-19, 3-10), 4-1, and Richardson Pearce clobbered Greenville, 11-2.
