Undefeated Heath baseball team wins 25th straight

By J.J. Smith. Rockwall-Heath’s undefeated, top-ranked Class 4A baseball team pounded Carrollton R.L. Turner for 16 hits and 13 runs Tuesday and won its 25th game in a row in Carrollton, 13-0.
Hawk pitcher Kyle Allen threw a five-inning no hitter in the shortened game.

Rockwall loses to Newman-Smith, 5-4

By J.J. Smith. The Rockwall Yellowjackets had only five hits and committed two errors last night and lost to Carrollton Newman-Smith in Rockwall, 5-4.
Rockwall’s season record is now 14-6 and 3-2 in District 10-4A. Newman-Smith is 9-7 and also 3-2 in the hunt for the playoffs.

Top-ranked Heath stays unbeaten, clobbers Pearce 10-0

By J.J. Smith. Jake Thompson threw a one-hitter, Jovan Hernandez, Drew Baxter and Drew Benefield each blasted home runs and the top-ranked Rockwall-Heath Hawks  clobbered Richardson Pearce 10-0 last night at Richardson.
The Hawks (23-0, 5-0) had 10 hits and no errors and were aided by three errors by Pearce (7-7. 1-4).
