Commissioners did it anyway, passed a tax note and the new facility in downtown Waxahachie had to be razed. Now a new facility (this one actually approved by voters in 2007) sits in its place. We censured the Republicans (via the local party) who voted for this and defeated the last Democrat who stuck us. Tsk, tsk.
