Burgess, Barton, Hall lead North Texas representatives in expenses

The Dallas Morning News. WASHINGTON – Reps. Ralph Hall, R-Rockwall, and Joe Barton, R-Arlington, have been in Congress a long time – 15 and 13 terms, respectively.

Their tenures are long enough to make them two of the top spenders this year among North Texas’ 10 U.S. representatives, according to a third-quarter report of House members’ expenses released this week.

Hall spent $986,000 through September, while Barton totaled just over $1 million for that time period.
