"“This bill passed the House despite the concerns of millions of Americans who voiced their views in town hall meetings across the country and in letters, phone calls, emails, and faxes to their Representatives in Congress,” said Hall."

Probably because several more million voted for the congressmen who approved it, making this America's choice. What kind of logic is he trying to use here?

"In a speech to the U.S. House of Representatives Saturday, Hall said, “This bill is a generation killer, and the targets are your grandchildren and mine. My fourth district in Texas is 100-1 against this bill and I believe my district is a good composite of other districts around this county.”"

Maybe so, but our county and those around us are privileged compared to many around the COUNTRY, which if I'm not mistaken is what this bill was intended for. Not just north Texas. Would have been nice if details from both bills were listed so it didn't seem like such a one-sided article.
