Myles scores four TDs to lead Rockwall over winless R.L. Turner, 49-7
CARROLLTON–Backup running back Del Myles ran for four touchdowns, including runs of 65 and 75 yards, while rushing for 228 yards on 18 carries to lead Rockwall to a big win over winless Carrollton R.L. Turner, 49-7, Thursday night at Standridge Stadium.
Myles was replacing injured starter Josh Broach and finished the evening with his third 100-yard rushing game of the season for the Yellow Jackets ((4-2, 2-1).
Senior Jacket quarterback Adam Dingwell threw for one touchdown, with a 35-yard pass to Will Beasley, and ran for another score in the victory over Turner (0-6, 0-3). He only threw seven passes all night, completing four for 111 yards and no interceptions.
Jacket sophomore defensive back Spencer Edwards intercepted a pass and returned it 27 yards for a TD on the opening play of the second half when he intercepted a pass to make it 35-0.
Turner’s only score came in the fourth quarter on a six-yard pass play when the score was already 49-0.
