DALLAS-Rockwall’s no. 2 Area ranked baseball team’s bats suddenly went silent as they lost two games Friday and Saturday nights to McKinney North, 6-2 and 10-1, bringing the Yellow Jackets highly successful season to an end.

McKinney North had only finished the regular season as District 9-4A’s fourth-place team.

Rockwall had won the first game of the best-of-three series Thursday night, 7-1, behind the one-hit pitching of Tim Parish.

In game 2, however Rockwall only managed three hits and also made three costly errors. Losing pitcher was previously undefeated Travis Ballew, who was 9-0 during the regular season.

In game 3, the Yellow Jackets only managed five hits, plus made one error. Wesley Cox, who gave up a homer to North’s Zach Diaz, took the tough loss.
