Dallas enacts daytime curfew for juveniles

DALLAS – The Dallas City Council approved a daytime curfew for minors Wednesday afternoon.

The curfew affects children ages 10 through 16. If they are found anyplace but school between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Dallas police officers could fine the children and their parents up to $500.

There are exceptions for students who have excused absences or participate in work study programs.
