Rockwall baseball begins playoff series vs. McKinney North Thursday

Rockwall’s District 10A championship baseball team will begin UIL District 4-10A playoff action against McKinney North Thursday evening at 7:30 pm at Dallas Jesuit field.
Game two will be played Friday night at 7:30 pm and game three, if necessary, will be played Saturday at 7:30 pm.
The Yellow Jackets finished the season with a 24-3 record overall and a 12-1 mark in District 10-4A. After losing to Rockwall-Heath on April 10, Rockwall won six straight games.
The McKinney North varsity baseball team finished the District season with a big win over Frisco Wakeland Friday night in Frisco, improving their record to 15-8 overall this season and 9-5 in District 9-4A.
The Yellow Jackets are led by pitchers Travis Ballew, who led the District with 9 wins and 93 strikeouts, plus had a 1.21 ERA; Tim Parish who was 5-2, had 52 strikeouts and a 1.18 ERA; Wesley Cox, with 6 victories and a 2.29 ERA; and Kyle Turansky, who was 3-0 with a 0.97 ERA.
Leading hitters are Klayton Estes, who hit .436 with 15 RBIs; Johnny Blake, who hit .400 with 16 RBIs;Â Quin Baker, who hit .396, with 14 RBIs; Travis Bellew, who hit .371, with 15 RBIs; and Tim Parish, who hit .359, with 26 RBIS.
